Jon Kear is our youth worker at the moment but we are looking for someone to succeed him from Septermber 2008. Anyway, it isn't a solo effort! There's a big team of dedicated and experienced helpers supporting him.

We have a Sunday School, of course, but most of our activities are midweek and many of them are out in the community. For instance, we do weekly assamblies in the school and often go into the village playgroups with Bible stories and songs. There are also children's clubs for all ages from three to eleven.

Perhaps the centrepiece of all we do is the Friday evening youth club. One week we took it into our heads to pray for thirty kids to turn up and from then on we've had to plan for bigger numbers. By now, we are running three separate groups from year six to shcool leavers and reaching upwards of fifty young people regularly. This work has been recognised by a county volunteer award and we are soon to begin a collaboration with the Monmouthshire Youth Service.
